  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Applicants who have the full support of their family

  • Do you get on with the Franchisor?

Our franchise selection process works both ways - you need to assess us and we need to assess you.

Steps to becoming a franchise partner

Detailed discussions

If first impressions are good we'll ask you to complete our Expression of Interest form and Confidentiality Undertaking before discussing the Timezone business model with you in more detail.

Assessment

Throughout discussions we'll be making an assessment of you and you'll be assessing us.

We'll need to meet each other and we'll expect you to visit some of our existing Timezone Franchise Partners and their Centres.

We may invite you to our Discovery Day - a day with us in Centre so you can gain first-hand experience of the business.

Draft documentation & independent advice.

If both parties want to progress interest further we'll provide you with our Disclosure Document and an example Franchise Agreement.

Other franchising information

What return on investment can I expect?

A number of factors determine the success of any business. These include the site and the efforts of the operator. We don't know what turnover a site might do or what profit may be achieved but we can share historical performance figures with you to help you forecast sales and profitability. See also Why Choose Timezone.

Do you guarantee a return?

The simple answer is no. All businesses involve an element of commercial risk. We believe this can be minimised by joining a franchise group with a long established brand and tried and tested systems - like Timezone!

How long is the Franchise Agreement for?

New Timezone Franchises are granted for an initial term of 5 years with an option for a further term of 5 years.

How long is the initial training?

Initial training is for 3 to 4 weeks, depending on experience.

Will I get on site help when I open?

Yes. An experienced support person will assist you on site immediately before opening and for the first week of operations. After that your operating systems should be running smoothly and operational advice and support is provided as appropriate.

Can I own multiple Centres?

Yes, but only after you have proved you can successfully operate one Centre and can demonstrate to us you have the management aptitude to operate multiple sites.

What is the Marketing Fund used for?

The Marketing Fund is used for national promotions, campaigns, materials and communications channels aimed at increasing brand awareness and encouraging customers into the Centres.
