History

Leisure & Allied Industries (LAI) was founded in 1958 by Malcolm Steinberg in Perth, Western Australia. A pioneer in the Family Entertainment Concept, LAI grew to encompass International Sales, R & D and Manufacturing.

In 1978, LAI established the Timezone brand in Australia. Following its success, through constant improvement and innovation, the Timezone brand went international in 1995 with a location in Bali, Indonesia. Since then, it has expanded to well over 100 outlets in Indonesia alone, as well as other markets such as Singapore, New Zealand, The Philippines, India and Vietnam.
